I am a transman. I began my transition in 1995, here in Ottawa.

I have a Bachelor of Physical Education (Honours) degree from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts in (Honours Psychology) from Carleton University.

I’ve been a certified Life Coach since 2011, having completed the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) training program, which qualifies me as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). I am certified by the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). I have also completed CTI’s Leadership Program, an intensive one year course, which led me and my partner Murray to launch TransForming Connections.

Most of my career has focused on health and wellness as an educator and a project manager. I’ve worked with Planned Parenthood Ottawa, the AIDS Committee of Ottawa, the Northwest Territories HIV/AIDS program, the Canadian Public Health Association and the federal government. I was a volunteer member of Ottawa’s LGBT Wellness Project, have been an invited speaker about my experience of being trans (University of Ottawa, Algonquin College) for over 15 years.

I love to learn, travel and refinish furniture. I’ve been interested in the dynamics of sustained behaviour change, paradigm shifts and resilience for as long as I can remember.
